Aaloo Sabudana Vada Recipe – Saggubiyyam Vada

Introduction:

Sabudana vada also called ‘sago vada’, is a traditional deep fried snack from Maharashtra, India. It is often served with spicy green chutney and along with hot chai and is best eaten fresh.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups of Oil
  • 2 Cups of Boiled Potato
  • 1 Cup of Onions
  • 3 Cups of Sabudana
  • 4 Green chili
  • Sufficient Salt
  • Some Cooking Soda
  • Corainder Leaves
  • 2 Tsp Cumin Seeds

 

Procedure:

  • Initially try to squeeze the potato until it becomes soft

  • Sabudana should be soaked for 2 hrs before it is mixed with potato
  • Now mix both potato and wet sabudana properly

  • Now add onions, chili, cumin seeds, salt, corainder leaves and cooking soda in order

  • Then mix it Gently and then mixture will be ready for making vadas

  • Heat 2 cups of Oil in a Pan

  • Put the oil on to your palms

  • Make the vadas in round shape and drop it slowly in oil

  • All vadas should be reversed regularly until they change into brown color

  • Take the Aaloo vada into the plate carefully

  • Hot Aaloo Sabudana vada is ready to serve with curd
